Hi every body.Well i know my photography isn't all that good ,but heres a few things i have been working on.
I am mad mad mad about the sea and will come back from the beach with bulging pockets of shells glass drift wood and latley plastic. Yes gone are the days when beaches were rich pickings for frosted glass, especially blue glass. Now is the age of recycling which is a good thing, but also it is an age of plastic products from yes you guessed it China.
But i have been collecting frosted plastic instead i have an idea of how to use these, later i will reveal all.

Well, I am on a huge learning curve at the moment. I have enrolled on a Karen Ruane button course so not only am I learning new skills on a new computer, blog making, but embroidered buttons too. She has a very impressive blog, such exquisite work.
Now I have some pictures of my work - some things that are unfinished that I am working on ....
This was a part of a city and guilds part one course that I completed many years ago. Now that life is less demanding, I can finish it HURRAY!
This is my green man, he is on a base of kunin felt, built up with lots of layers of synthetic fibbers. A template of an out line of a face was cut from black fabric, this was painted in expandaprint heated with a hot tool to puff the surface to resemble the tree textures from a photograph that I had, then painted. 'ANSOM, my lovers!
The leaves were made by free machining over water soluble fabrics. Some with a wire so that I can manipulate them into a shape. I am now stuck with the dilemma to frame or not to frame I will have to scratch my head and think about this one.
See you all soon for an update on my button making ........
